THE GUEST BECOMES THE HOST. THE HOST BECOMES THE GUEST.

This is Now You Do Me, where we switch roles and let our guest become the host and ask us anything they want to.

Enjoy.

Hey Shareable listeners, we brought our girl Parchelle Hotten back as the host of this Friday's Now You Do Me. A quick disclaimer: there’s some random feedback you can hear throughout this episode. We thought about not running the episode, but we felt like Parchelle’s interview with Jeff brought up a conversation you may find valuable about building your team as a small business or agency like us.  Parchelle is on a mission to find out how our team at True Voice Media, our podcast's parent company, came together. If you're a small business owner, startup, or entrepreneur you know how difficult, yet crucial building a team is to the success of your expansion. In this episode, you'll get a full view of how Jeff built our team. He also talks about the value we provide, and how we have benefit this company in totally unexpected ways. We hope you'll excuse the annoying audio and enjoy this peek into our leader's mind. CONNECT WITH JEFF

Shareable family, we’ve got one of our dear friends and fellow WeWorkers Parchelle Hotten on the show this Wednesday! Parchelle Hotten is a former high school math teacher turned entrepreneur. A native of Virginia Beach, her video production company Fresh Level Productions has served a number of clients from Verizon to The Kimmel Center of Performing Arts. Her passion for education continues, as she currently speaks on all kinds of video marketing topics. She's been featured online in CNN, FOX and Wall Street. So yeah, she's pretty awesome. We loved having Parchelle on the show. Here are just a few of the topics covered: Circuit City, Clipart, 3D Printing, and Dramatic Grandmothers. Obviously, you've gotta check this one out.

Shareable listeners, we have a treat for you this Monday, especially if you're a regular listener of Six Pixels of Separation with Mitch Joel like we are. We've got Joseph Jaffe on the show! Of course, you may recognize him from Jaffe and Joel, which is how we found him. He is the CEO and Founder of a company called Evol8tion, which is an innovation boutique in the business of helping corporates connect with early stage startups to solve real business problems. He’s also written four books. You may have heard of them: Life After the 30-Second Spot, Join the Conversation, Flip the Funnel, and Z.E.R.O. But before the books and the business, he was an agency man on Madison Avenue. But don't hold that against him. Jaffe really does spill the juice here on Shareable. Joseph and Jeff talk about pretty much everything: Joseph's journey, his struggle to accept advice, his role model (or lack of), and the general evolution of technology and our willingness to adopt it. This really is an incredible episode that you won't want to miss.

THE GUEST BECOMES THE HOST. THE HOST BECOMES THE GUEST.

This is Now You Do Me, where we switch roles and let our guest become the host and ask us anything they want to.

Enjoy.

We got a brand new Now You Do Me with Neslihan Ozdemir, your favorite girl on a bike, mattress, or real estate? Yeah, that line worked right up until the end there... Anyhow! This is a great new episode of Shareable, where Nesli really goes in and asks Jeff about the apps, the people, and the processes that make his life MUCH easier. SHOUTOUT TO ASANA. (Insert Air Horn). Listening to this episode is like having coffee with your good buds Nesli and Jeff. It's just a light-hearted chat about the apps they use, their peak productivity times, and the likely end of the world. So if you've been patiently waiting to hear Jeff's apocalypse theories, here ya go.

Hello Shareable fam, we've got a great new episode with the girl herself Neslihan Ozdemir. Neslihan Ozdemir is the content creator and host of the show Girl On The Bike, a travel and lifestyle video series and Girl On The Mattress, a mattress and sleep products review site. Oh, and a real estate agent in New York. No biggie. But before the bike and the mattress, she was an engineer living in a great apartment, but something was missing. So she did some soul searching and made a change. She moved to New York, and left engineering behind for a new career in marketing with a focus on SEO and social media. Full disclosure: we met Nesli through one of our clients: Nuvanna. They're an online mattress retailer, she's an online mattress reviewer. It was kismet, you could say. Or not. We loved having her on the show. We got a chance to talk about growing up in Turkey, and how books brought her out of her country and exposed her to the world. And like many of our guests, we learn how technology changed Nesli's life.

Hello Shareable listeners, Oprah’s here and today we’re pulling back the curtain. But before we begin, you must choose the blue pill or the red pill. That’s right we’re taking you into the Matrix today with our guest Tom Schwab. Tom is a podcaster, on our podcast, talking about his company that helps other people get featured on...you guessed it, podcasts. Very meta, we know. 💁 Tom is the founder of Interview Valet, a company that helps small business owners, entrepreneurs, and soloprenuers get featured on leading podcasts their prospects are already listening to. Then he shows them how to turn listeners into leads. Friends, this episode touches on something that the Shareable team strongly champions as one of the most important unseen benefits of podcasting. Jeff and Tom talk about the true value of relationships. This episode, in true Shareable fashion, enters vulnerable territory with Tom about one of the most influential people in his life. Just go ahead and give it a listen, we know you'll find this one very Shareable.

Deb interviews Oprah on Now You Do Me

THE GUEST BECOMES THE HOST.

THE HOST BECOMES THE GUEST.

This is Now You Do Me, where we switch roles and let our guest become the host and ask us anything they want to.

Enjoy.

We're back with more of the lovely Deb Gabor as the host of Now You Do Me. Deb's here to interview the L E G E N D, Ms. Oprah herself! That's right we scored Oprah.

Okay, she's not interviewing Oprah, but she is interviewing "The Oprah of Podcasting" - Mr. Jeff Gibbard himself.

Deb asks Jeff some deep questions about his obsessions and fears. She puts Jeff through her mini branding course by asking three very important questions about Shareable.

You're not going to want to miss this one. I know we're already planning to listen to it over and over again.

Yup, you read the title right. This is the episode where our guest teaches us about BDSM- why brand domination strategy matters that is! Sorry, didn't mean to shock you there, but in the spirit of this week's guest we just had to. Because our guest, Deb Gabor, is the founder and Brand Dominatrix of Sol Marketing, a brand strategy consultancy obsessed with building winning brands. Guys, she's awesome, so awesome that after talking with her for five minutes Jeff proclaimed them best friends. Here’s the post it note he wrote to prove it.

Jeff wrote this about Deb during the first five minutes of recording.

And you’re going to want to be her best friend too after listening to this episode. Friends, Deb gets incredibly honest with us. She talks about her passion and compulsion to make other people’s businesses better. She talks about her inability to slow down. She talks about how her daughter helped her become a role model in her career. There’s so much that happened, you just gotta listen.

SHOW NOTES

How Deb uses tech: Deb is no tech novice. In fact, she's had every i-thingy there has ever been. Although she's an early adopter, Deb's more interested in the value that technology brings to her life rather than the flashiness of the gadget. For Deb, technology allows her to do things that she otherwise couldn’t do without it, and to free up headspace to do the things she’s really passionate about like building brands. Essentially, Deb uses tech as a facilitator to make other things happen. Tech makes Deb’s life easier, so she can make other’s lives easier. And she sets boundaries. Deb tries to keep notifications from oppressing her and monopolizing her time. Most importantly, Deb has learned not to let technology stand in the way of a good relationship with a human being. What she wishes she'd learned earlier: Slow the FUCK down. One thing you should go do today: Read Deb’s book - Branding is Sex Apps in her Dock: Phone, Email, Chrome, & Snapchat One app she can't live without: Trello Last Social Media left standing: Facebook One book you should read: Positioning by Al Ries and Jack Trout Desired Superpower: Temporary wobbly puddle of goo (so she can slow down for 15 minutes at a time) ADDITIONAL NOTES Deb’s Basics of Branding:

  • Your brand can’t exist without your customers.
  • Your brand can’t be about you, it has to be about them.

The questions to answer to get your mini MBA in branding:

  1. What does it say about someone that they use this?
  2. What is it that we do that singularly solves a problem for someone?
  3. Everyone wants to be the hero in the story of their life. How does your brand make someone a hero?

WOW. Even Jeff wasn't ready for this Now You Do Me. Travis's questions brought out an...erm...different side of Jeff. We should let you know up front this episode is NSFW. It all started with an innocent question about Jeff's reading preferences and well, yeah it got a little Fifty Shades darker, if you what I mean. You just gotta listen to this one, but maybe with your earbuds in.

Shareable Family, I don’t know if you’re ready for the Travis Wright. Having a conversation with Travis is like listening to 10 TED talks at once. This guy is a seemingly endless source of vision and knowledge. "So what does he do," you ask. All of it. He does it ALL. Travis is a successful author, consultant, keynote speaker, entrepreneur, data & analytics geek, tech journalist, growth hacker, podcast host, and self-deemed “mediocre stand-up comic.” We’ll be the judge of that Travis. Today, he is the cofounder and Chief Marketing Technology Officer at CCP Digital, a Kansas City & SF based digital ad & content agency. Throughout his career, he has helped hundreds of B2B & B2C companies, well-funded startups, SMBs, and the Fortune 100. He is also a columnist at Inc. Magazine, podcast host of VentureBeat's VB Engage, and author of his first book with Wiley & Sons, Digital Sense, which was published in December 2017. Needless to say, we’re big Travis fans here at Shareable. And we're really excited to bring you this new, info-packed episode.
